About Me
Trinity Johnson
Based in Metro Atlanta
Hi! My name is Trinity, and I'm so glad you are here! I am a pottery artist who creates both functional and decorative pottery. I love capturing beauty, rather if that is with clay, paint, or photography.
My Pottery Journey
My pottery journey began in art class in 4th grade. We did simple handbuilding, but even as a 10-year-old, I found a love for pottery that I could not explain. After seeing how much I enjoyed it, my mother put me in pottery camp the following summer, where I fell in love with the craft. There was not much traction for pottery at the time in my small town, so the camp I went to called "Pottery by You" relocated to a different part of GA. It would then take 11 years for me to reconnect with the craft.
In the spring of 2021, I joined the waitlist for a pottery studio in Washington, DC where I have spent the majority of my adulthood. After a true act of God, I was pulled off their 18-month-long waitlist in 2 months and began taking classes there. It was at this studio that my interest transformed into passion and where I built the fundamentals of my pottery skills.

After four years at this studio and after being gifted my own pottery wheel from a friend at my church, I decided to move back home to GA and start my own studio for the time being. I split my time between my home studio and Suwanee Clayworks, where I work part-time as a studio tech. I am so excited to have my own space, discover more about this craft, and continue with something that brings me immense joy.

Outside the Studio
If I'm not working on something in the studio, I am probably on a run, at a coffee shop reading, or hanging out with my mom and cats. I am currently training for the Barcelona Marathon! [Keep me in your thoughts and prayers lol, marathon training is no joke]
